Los verbos regulares en inglés son los más fáciles de aprender. ¿Por qué? Porque siguen una regla clara cuando los ponemos en pasado:
➡ Siempre terminan en "-ed" en pasado simple y participio pasado.
Por ejemplo:
- Play (jugar) → Played (jugó / jugado)
- Talk (hablar) → Talked (habló / hablado)
- Watch (mirar) → Watched (miró / mirado)
¿Cómo se clasifican los verbos regulares?
✔ Verbos de acción → Expresan una acción que alguien hace (walk, dance, cook, study).
✔ Verbos de estado → Expresan una condición o estado de algo o alguien (love, like, need, want).
✔ Verbos de opinión o pensamiento → Expresan lo que alguien piensa o siente sobre algo (believe, remember, imagine, guess).
Reglas especiales al agregar "-ed"
1️⃣ Si el verbo ya termina en "e", solo agregamos "d".
- Live → Lived
- Love → Loved
2️⃣ Si el verbo termina en consonante + "y", cambiamos la "y" por "i" y agregamos "ed".
- Study → Studied
- Cry → Cried
3️⃣ Si el verbo termina en CVC (consonante-vocal-consonante) y es corto, doblamos la última letra antes de agregar "-ed".
- Stop → Stopped
- Plan → Planned
¿Cómo se usa en oraciones?
- Presente: I play soccer. (Yo juego fútbol.)
- Pasado: I played soccer yesterday. (Yo jugué fútbol ayer.)
- Futuro: I will play soccer tomorrow. (Yo jugaré fútbol mañana.)
